When it comes to optimising payments, most merchants focus on fraud tools, checkout UX, and approval rates by geography, but there's one quiet operator behind the scenes doing a lot of heavy lifting: the BIN.

BINs, also known as Bank Identification Numbers, are more than a technical detail. They're a crucial part of how payments are processed, routed, and authorised.
