Over the years, I’ve built a wide network of experts in different areas of payments, which allows me to collaborate effectively and offer a compelling service tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Why Paypr.work?

Years of experience working with large, small, established corporates and Fintechs led me to take the leap in early 2022 and quit the corporate world to set up Paypr.work.

Prior to that, I held a number of commercial roles predominantly working in established payments organisation like Barclays, Paypal, WEX and Elavon | US bank, through which I gained solid foundations in large scale projects payments and expertise in areas such as:

  • Travel, Hospitality & Airlines payments
  • Multicurrency And Dynamic Currency Conversions
  • Multi PSP routing strategies
  • Virtual Cards
  • Credit Lending etc

From an academic background, I initially took on some Communications studies in the Netherlands before enrolling onto an Economics curriculum in Brussels, being fascinated by the principle of International Commerce. That led me to the UK in 2006 to pursue a career in Banking… and the rest is history.

Having grown an organic community of 35,000+ followers between my personal page and the Paypr.work company page, I am thrilled to be recognised as a LinkedIn Top Voice. I am also particularly delighted to be sitting on the Advisory Board of European’s leading merchants and payments event, MPE.

Abimbola Odedeyi

Fintech Strategy | Project Management

Hi, I’m Abimbola Odedeyi. I’ve been working in the payments industry for over 14 years, and it’s been an amazing journey. I’ve been lucky to work in a variety of roles, from strategy and sales to business development and partnerships. It’s given me a really good understanding of both the commercial banking and payments sides of the industry.

I started my career at Guaranty Trust Bank and then moved on to NIBSS plc, where I led some exciting digital payment projects across Africa. It was incredibly rewarding to be part of projects that made such a big difference, and we were able to achieve some amazing results—over $1 billion in value! I learned so much about building strong relationships with key players in the financial services industry, and it’s something I continue to value to this day.

I’ve also had the chance to help global fintech companies expand into the African market, which was a fantastic experience. I’m always excited to see businesses grow and thrive, and it’s been really rewarding to be a part of that journey.

Now, I’m working with seed-stage startups in a few different industries, including Fintech, education technology, and gaming. It’s incredibly rewarding to help these companies get started and to see them succeed, Paypr.work being one I’m incredibly excited about what we’re doing.

I’m a certified project management practitioner and I’ve been fortunate to take programs at some great institutions like Harvard Business School, Lagos Business School, and the London Institute of Banking and Finance. I’m always looking for ways to learn and grow.

Payments are my passion. I’m committed to creating a more inclusive and accessible financial future for everyone, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.
